FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Clearwater, Florida (February 24, 2015) – Supply chain software developer Datex recently announced the successful 3PL WMS software implementation for client Mid-Atlantic Cold Storage (MACS), a new refrigerated warehouse facility in Suffolk, Virginia. With a strategically important location near a distribution hub for the Northeastern region, Mid Atlantic Cold Storage needed to be ready to handle the critical needs of its clients immediately.
“Mid-Atlantic Cold Storage is a new facility that provides temperature controlled storage and value added services to top national food companies. Our refrigerated warehouse is in a prime location that serves as the distribution hub and point of entrance from the Port of Virginia Norfolk Terminals” said Mike Group, Vice President of Mid-Atlantic Cold Storage.
Mid-Atlantic Cold Storage was looking for a technology partner that could provide a cloud-based best-of-breed cold storage warehouse management system and implement the solution in less than 30 days. After evaluating various WMS software solutions, Mid-Atlantic Cold Storage chose Datex FootPrint® WMS for its robust advanced functionality for 3PL cold storage warehouse operations including temperature capture, inventory restriction capabilities by specific temperature zones, catch weight, advanced inventory track and trace, workflow driven business rules, customizable reporting, 3PL billing, web Portal and other features.
Datex and the MACS teams started the implementation on schedule in January and worked hand in hand to ensure a streamlined software implementation project. “Datex has a proven methodology to fast track Implementations. To do this successfully, customer involvement and collaboration is critical” said Michael Armanious, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Datex. “With the vast knowledge and full collaboration of the Mid-Atlantic team, Datex was able to implement their WMS software solution in this new facility in only three weeks.”
“Datex FootPrint® WMS is the technology platform that allows us to meet the needs of our customers and add value to our 3PL services. We are very impressed with the Datex implementation and look forward to having a successful and long term partnership with our new technology partner” said Mike Group.
