The Datex Corporation announces the recent completion and success of the Discover ’09 User Conference held at the historic Don Cesar Beach Resort in St. Pete Beach, FL. The user conference, created on behalf of Datex clientele, boasted an impressive learning schedule, extensive networking opportunities, hands on demonstrations, luxury accommodations, and a variety of fun and relaxing night time events. Discover offered customers a chance to train and gain a thorough understanding of Datex software, while receiving priceless insight into the developmental process.
Dan Brasloff, a representative of Remco – The Fashion Distributors noted that Discover ’09 “was a very good idea, impressively orchestrated from beginning to end. All of the staff members I met were knowledgeable and helpful; I think they should be given kudos for their work on this event.”
Events included class sessions that incorporated software courses touching on items like activity based management, SQL Reporting, EDI, and owner billing, as well as hardware focused seminars on RFID trends, Voice-Directed Technology, Wireless WAN, and Wireless LAN. Joseph O’Neill of Peninsula of Boston noted, “As a new client of Datex I was impressed with the range of subjects covered at the conference as well as the level of professionalism maintained by each member of the Datex staff.”
In addition to training seminars, the conference incorporated a vendor hall for customers to view and discuss the latest cutting edge hardware products and technology on the market with top industry suppliers like Zebra Technologies, AT&T, Honeywell, and LXE. The massive 18 wheel Zebra Technologies Truck was also on site for the duration of the conference showcasing Zebra Technologies’ state of the art RF mobile computers and bar code scanners, as well as stations for interactive demonstrations of the newest Zebra Technologies hardware systems.
Tobey Marsicovetere, Datex marketing coordinator remarks that “The intent of Discover was to give our customers the opportunity to train face to face with Datex professionals and learn how others utilize the system in order to gain greater knowledge and return from their own WMS, all within a comfortable and casual setting. I believe we achieved that goal and so much more. We are currently looking to the year ahead, making plans with the hope that the next Discover will outshine its predecessor.”
