FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Clearwater, Florida (April 30, 2013)-Woodruff Cold Storage of Springfield Ohio selected supply chain software Datex Footprint® WMS for their warehouse management solution. Woodruff Cold Storage operations required a specialized WMS module designed to support distribution centers that are third party logistics (3PL) providers and multi-company warehouse operations.

Part of Woodruff Enterprises, the temperature controlled trucking company, Woodruff Cold Storage brings new service and added value to Prime Ohio, the industrial center servicing large food industry clients in Springfield Ohio. The proximity to major highways gives manufacturers the value of an optimal location combined with adjacent refrigerated storage. Woodruff Cold Storage handles storage of temperature controlled products for distribution.

Handling food and pharmaceuticals, Woodruff Cold Storage needed a warehouse management system that could meet the regulatory needs of FDA 21 CFR Part 11. Ideal for handling pharmaceutical inventory, Datex Footprint® WMS has the ability to provide a full audit trail and signature, track DEA numbers and DEA expiration, handle Certificate of Analysis (COA) and pharmaceutical sample management and is validation ready.

Datex Footprint® WMS has the ability to track and trace by Lot, serial number, UPC, SKU, component, batch, package, vial, ingredient or vat code and can manage the traceability of compounding facilities. The warehouse management system facilitates and tracks inspections, quarantines and holds and can handle multiple simultaneous holds with automated scheduled releases.

Datex Footprint® WMS includes special features and functionality for cold storage and third party logistics (3PL). The Datex warehouse management system was developed using state-of-the-art Microsoft technology. Datex Footprint® WMS includes temperature capture, the ability to restrict inventory to specific temperature zones; catch weight; 3PL billing including the ability to charge accessorial fees from either a handheld or desktop computer and other features essential for cold storage warehouse operations.

“We welcome Woodruff Cold Storage to our Ohio client family “said Michael Armanious, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Datex. “This is an exciting project for us and we look forward to implementing their solution quickly to ensure their continued success.”
