Datex EX: Advanced Technical Training

This course is designed for system administrators and advanced users who are responsible for supporting and maintaining the Datex EX SCM software and SQL server.

In addition, students will learn advanced techniques used to troubleshoot and customize Datex EX SCM software. Students will also be more involved in the SQL backend of the software and using SQL to manipulate data in the warehouse.

	Understand how the Datex EX SCM software uses and stores data in SQL
	Understanding of the database setup, table relationships, views, and stored procedures
	Ability to find and manipulate data in the database
	Implementing rules to automate procedures
	Learn how to run reports and create customized reports
	Monitoring\Improving SQL performance
	Configuring Security for Powerhouse, SQL, and Wireless Access Points
	RF configuration
	Creating RF users (Active Directory Users if in a Domain)
	Telnet configuration/troubleshooting

Prerequisites

Students of this class must be current clients of Datex using the Datex EX SCM software. Students must have completed the End User Application Training and the Administrator Application Training courses.

Other prerequisites include knowledge of Windows 2000 or 2003 Server, SQL server, Crystal Reports, and network connectivity setup\troubleshooting.
