Clearwater, FL, September 10th, 2007 - Datex International announces that Morel S.A., company located in Ciudad de Colon, Panama, will implement its Warehouse Management System (WMS). The implementation will start beginning of November, starting with the logistic analysis and will be completed end of first quarter, 2008.
“Morel Import & Export, S.A., as a company concerned with improving efficiency and labor production in order to increase customer satisfaction, has investigated ways to increase productivity and maximize efficiency of the warehouses in Conway warehouses in Panama” commented Araiz Smith, IT Manager for Morel.
As a result of this research and selection process, Morel S.A and Conway S.A. will implement Datex EX WMS system, including RF wireless terminals, barcode technology and warehouse management software. Regarding this research process, Araiz added, “after several months of consulting more than 5 WMS providers in Europe as well as North America, and after having an exact idea of the kind of WMS system that we were looking for, it has been decided along with our consultants, to select Datex International as our warehouse management solution provider because of the confidence that they have provided us with answers to all of our questions”.
Datex EX WMS system is a Tier I warehouse management software with complete functionality in areas such as receiving, putaway, crossdocking, quality control, location management, picking, packing, shipping, and order consolidation among others. “With this new version of our WMS system, we will automate all the operations in the warehouse providing Morel and its clients with real-time information, inventory visibility, competitive advantages and complete technological support for future growth”, emphasize Fernando Gonzalez, Vice President – Latin America for Datex International.
