Clearwater, FL (March 12, 2007) - Datex International, company leader in supply chain solutions announced today that Fashion Consul International, a complete supply chain logistics provider in Panama, will implement its Inventory Management System (IMS) to manage their inventory and all their warehousing and logistics services needs of their current and future clients.
The inventory software will manage the inventory of their main warehouse located in Zona Libre de Colon, providing real-time information, inventory visibility, competitive advantages and technological support among other important services. It will also offer Fashion Consul the best functionality to provide services as a 3PL provider through the implementation of an E-portal (web integration) and 3PL Invoicing.
The implementation process started March 7th where the official launching of the project was done, as well as the chronogram and project plan. Throughout the month of March, Fashion Consul will establish the technological infrastructure needed for the implementation of the Inventory Management Software, including items such as servers, local network, internet access and the radio frequency.
This implementation will be taking place throughout the next couple of months, starting at the end of March with the Business Analysis of the operations and processes within the Fashion Consul’s warehouse. This stage is critical for the project because it will provide the specific requirements for the Datex EX Inventory Management Software based on the recommendations given by Datex implementation team. The final objective is to provide Fashion Consul with a turn-key solution that will adapt to his operations and the needs of its clients.
Within the selection process, Datex offered Fashion Consul International a turn-key solution in conjunction with its partner Megabyte Center de Panama, a highly recognized company in Central America as a leader provider of mobile technology for the Supply Chain industry. Megabyte Center is the biggest distributor in Central America of Motorola (Symbol Technologies), and they will give support to this implementation with the installation and configuration of the radio frequency equipment, and offering the corresponding local support.
